StartUP Novo mesto is a meeting point of ideas, programmes, iniciatives and a place where individuals meet, develop and materialize their entrepreneurial dreams. It presents a connection between young people with ideas, educational institutions (grammar schools, high schools, universities) and industry.

The founding of StartUP Novo mesto was initiated by a small group of young men from Novo mesto who identified, on a basis of their own experience and the state of the market, a problem of young individuals and teams with enterpreneurial ambitions in southeastern Slovenia. StartUP Novo mesto is changing the present situation and is creating a suitable supportive environment for Slovenian startups. It gives them the chance that they could previosly only find abroad and thus helps them overcome the teething problems. StartUP Novo mesto represents a connection between startups and investors in Slovenia as well as abroad.

As StartUP Novo mesto is following the latest trends, it is pushing through its projects a different way of thinking, called a Lean Startup (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lean_Startup).

Vision

StartUP Novo mesto is going to become a bussiness center to support the entrepreneurs and the ones to be. It will play an important role in the development of Slovenian entrepreneurship through linking of entrepreneurial iniciatives, coworking and creating added value.
